Woman found dead in Aberdeen was involved in crash week before she died

A woman has been found dead in a property in Aberdeen.

Police understand she was involved in a crash the week before and are now appealing for information, unsure if her injuries contributed to her death.

The 46-year-old was found in a property in Mastrick Close on November 27 at around 2.20pm.

Following a post mortem the death is being treated as unexplained

The collision is believed to have happened on Whitemyres Avenue at around 5:20pm on November 20.

It involved one vehicle with the woman riding her black e-scooter at the time.

Sergeant Peter Henderson from Road Policing said: “While it is unclear at this stage whether the collision and any injuries the woman sustained contributed to her death, it is important that we establish the full circumstances of what happened.

“I am appealing for anyone who was in Whitemyres Avenue around 5.20pm on Monday, 20 November, and may have seen a woman riding a black e-scooter to please come forward.

“In particular I would urge any motorists with dash-cams who were on the road to check their footage in case they have captured anything which could be of significance to our enquiries.

“Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1784 of Monday, 27 November, 2023.”
