Woman charged with attempted murder after Aberdeen flats fire

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after a fire at a block of flats in Aberdeen.

Residents were forced to evacuate the block on Printfield Terrace in the early hours of Sunday July 26.

The blaze was thought to have started at the door of a flat.

In a statement today, police said: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 47-year-old woman has been charged in connection with an attempted murder after a fire at Printfield Terrace in Aberdeen on Sunday July 26.

"She is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today (Thursday)."
