Two men from Manchester charged in connection with drugs offences in Aberdeen

Two men have been arrested and charged charged in connection with supplying class A drugs in Aberdeen.

It's after around £33,000 worth of drugs was recovered in the city.

On Friday (December 8) officers found heroin and crack cocaine at a property in King Street.

The 21 and 24 year olds from Manchester are due in court today.

Detective Constable Michael Christiansen said: “This operation underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

"By taking suspected county lines offenders off our streets we are able to safeguard those that might get involved with criminal activity before it is too late.

"Preventing the sale and supply of controlled drugs is a key focus and we rely on information from the public to help us continue disrupt such crimes."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Anyone with concerns or information on drug misuse and associated criminality should report this to officers via 101. In an emergency, or when a crime is in progress, always call 999."
