Aberdeen MSP, Kevin Stewart, is facing renewed pressures over the dualling of the A90 between Ellon and Peterhead.

He was appointed his new position when Humza Yousaf announced his new cabinet last week.

Former Transport Minister, Jenny Gilruth, broke the news last month that plans to dual the stretch between Ellon and Peterhead were to be abandoned.

This is despite Alex Salmond pledging to approve these plans within his first 100 days in office, in 2007.

Counsillor for Ellon and District, Isobel Davidson, alongside MP David Duguid, have urged Mr. Stewart to make this a priority in his new role.

Seven people have died and 49 people have been injured in the last three years.
