Three men in hospital with serious injuries after crash in Aberdeenshire

Three men are in hospital with serious injuries following a crash on the A947 between Oldmeldrum and Aberdeen.

The road was closed for 10 hours following the two-car collision yesterday (March 10) at about 2.35pm.

The incident happened south of Whiterashes and involved a white Peugeot Partner and a brown Volkswagen Caddy.

A 39-year-old and 71-year-old from the Volkswagen and the 46-year-old driver of the Peugeot were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

Police say inquiries are ongoing.

Sergeant Sarah Ritchie, from the north east road policing unit, said: “Our thoughts are with those involved in this incident and I would like to thank the members of the public who stopped to assist at the scene.

“Our enquiries are continuing and I urge anyone with information, who has not already spoken to police, to please call 101, quoting incident 1618 of 10 March, 2024.”
