The Winter Gardens will light the way this November as a new event comes to the north-east.

The Friends of Duthie Park are hosting Winter, Wonder, Wander, running from November 9th to the 11th.

Each evening will have three-hour long sessions from 6pm to 9pm.

Dave Macdermid, committee member, explains why they came up with the idea:

Entry will be by pre-purchased tickets only and will be available from this Friday.

Organisers are keen to stress even if you have booked tickets for the 6pm session, it doesn't mean you have to arrive at the top of the hour, you can arrive at 6:30pm and still have the full allotted time.

It's so they can minimise the risk of queues and bottlenecks in the venue.

Originally, the event was planned to go ahead in 2020, but had to make a change of plan due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mr Macdermid says if the event is a success, it is something they would like to see return each year to the park.

Tickets can be purchased here and are priced at £8 per adult , £4 for children between aged five and 15 and free for those under 5.
