Police are investigating after receiving a report of a serious sexual assault in Inverurie.
The incident is understood to have happened at around 6.30pm yesterday (4 September 2023).
Officers have cordoned off a section of the path near the River Don and St. James' Place in the town.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a serious sexual assault near to the River Don and St James's Place, Inverurie, around 6.30pm on Monday, 4 September, 2023.
"Inquiries are ongoing.”
