Search continues for missing Glencoe hillwalker Charles Kelly

The search continues for missing man Charles Kelly who was reported missing from his hike in Glencoe.

The 56-year-old left his home in Tillicoultry on Wednesday September 6 and he last got in contact with his family at 8pm the following day. 

As posted by the Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team, searches for the last few days have been focused on the Glen Etive area. 

They confirmed a rucksack was discovered which matches the description of the one Charles was said to be using. 

It was also said the area had now been 'thoroughly' checked through the use of helicopters, drones dogs and boots on the ground from eight teams. 

Along with Tayside Mountain Rescue team, Glencoe concluded their fifth day yesterday, with the search continuing on a smaller scale until the weekend. 

It will resume on Saturday in large numbers to carry out more detailed searches.
