Police appeal for witnesses to trace man

Officers are appealing for witnesses to trace a man in Aberdeen.

The Nigg Policing team are concerned over his behavior. 

On Monday January 11 at around 2:30pm a group of boys were approached and spoken to by a man near the community centre in Cove. 

Two days layer, at around 3:30pm, a woman was walking with her daughter near the same area when he they were also approached by a man fitting the same description. 

It is not known what was said to the witnesses when approached. 

Sergeant Barry Wallace said: "We understand incidents of this type are concerning to the local community and we would like to reassure them that officers are working to trace the individual involved. 

"We are also ken to ensure he himself is safe and well." 

He was described as being black, around 6ft and had facial hair. He was wearing a black jacket/bodywarmer and spoke with an unknown accent. 

 

Anyone with information, has seen the man in the community or has had a similar encounter should contact 101 quoting incident number 2530 of 11 January 2021.
