A north-east men's mental health group is urging people who may need help with the condition to come to their weekly session.

Men In Mind run a weekly session in Cove Rangers' board room on a Thursday evening at 6:30pm.

The group was co-founded by Andy Joss who got the idea to host these vital meetings after losing a friend to mental health.

It began earlier this year and they see new faces come in every week.

Andy says its vital people reach out for support if they need it.

He added: "It's the hardest thing to do, to get through the door for the first time, but we know it is a difficult thing to do.

"To come into a new group full of guys and then open up about your mental health, it is not an easy thing to do.

"But it is certainly a step in the right direction, just get through that door, come in, sit with us and have a chat."
