Man and woman hospitalised after truck crashes in Aberdeenshire

Two people have been hospitalised after a crash in Aberdeenshire.

It happened at around 9.30pm yesterday on the A97 near Westertown Farm, between Huntly and Aberchirder - and involved a white Volkswagen Amarok truck.

A man and a woman, both aged 22, were treated for their injuries.

Sergeant Steve Manson said: "We are continuing our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.

"We are particularly interested in any motorists with dash cams, perhaps you captured the image of the truck before the crash, if you have any information, please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3806 of 12 July, 2021.
