Man and woman charged following drugs recovery in Aberdeen

Two people have been arrested and charged following the recovery of a five-figure sum of Class A and Class B drugs in Aberdeen.

On Thursday, 9 June, officers executed warrants at two properties on Elphinstone Court and Grandholm Court in Aberdeen.

Quantities of heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis were recovered, with an estimated street value of around £18,000.

A 37-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man have been arrested and charged in connection with drug offences. They are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today (Friday, 10 June).

Detective Constable Dan Connelly, from North East Division CID Proactive, said: "We remain committed to taking appropriate action against people profiting from the sale of illegal and harmful substances. 

"Our work relies on information provided by members of the community, so we encourage anyone with concerns about drugs in their area to contact us on 101, or report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
