The line between Dundee and Montrose has been shut due to a gas leak.
All trains between Aberdeen and Dundee have been cancelled due to a gas leak.
The leak was reported near Carnoustie on Wednesday evening, causing disrupted services.
The East Coast line is now currently closed between Dundee and Montrose.
Network Rail has posted a statement on Twitter to say the fault is not on the line but within close proximity.
A 50-metre exclusion zone remains in place whilst work is carried out.
Commuters are urged to check their journeys and expect disruption until around noon.
