First patients receive coronavirus jag at Aberdeen mass vaccination centre

The first patients have received the coronavirus jag at a mass vaccination centre in Aberdeen.

P&J Live - which opened its doors to patients today - is expected to be able to administer thousands of doses a day.

Violet Adams, 78, was first in the queue to receive the vaccine from clinic co-ordinator Chloe England.

Elaine Slattery, who is the overall clinical lead for the centre, said: "It is very emotional to see the centre open and people arriving to receive their vaccine.

"The whole team has worked incredibly hard - along with colleagues at P&J Live - to get to this point."
