Drugs worth over £140K recovered in Aberdeen

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the recovery of Class A drugs with a street value of £140,550 in Aberdeen.

Officers searched a vehicle in Don Street after a man was seen acting suspiciously around 12 noon on Monday, 6 June, and drugs were recovered.

As a result further searches were carried out in North Anderson Drive.

Overall, cocaine with a street value of £136,200 and heroin with a street value of £4,350 were recovered.

The man is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today (Tuesday, 7 June).

Detective Sergeant Erika Griffiths said: "Drugs causes misery in our communities and Police Scotland is committed to using all tools and tactics available to prevent the sale and distribution of illegal substances.
