Drugs worth £13,500 recovered in Aberdeen, two arrested

A 27-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman have been arrested and charged.

A 27-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman have been arrested and charged as a result of a County Lines drugs operation in Aberdeen.

A  large quantity of 'crack' cocaine was recovered, with an estimated street value of £13,500.

The arrests took place following the intelligence-led stop of a car on Anderson Drive, on Wednesday 7 June. 

Search warrants were subsequently executed at two properties in the Gillespie Crescent and Nigg Kirk Road area. 

A low four-figure sum of cash was also seized from the search.

Officers are continuing to follow further positive lines of enquiry. 

The pair were expected to appear at Aberdeen Sherriff Court on Thursday 8 June.

Detective Constable Rob Graham said: "We remain committed to disrupting county lines activity and we will use all resources at our disposal to rid our communities of drugs, whilst working with partners to provide support to vulnerable people being targeted by these criminals.

"We rely on information from the public to help target our activities.
