CCTV images released of missing Aberdeen teenager

Police have released CCTV images of a teenager who is missing in Aberdeen.

David MacLeod, 18, was reported missing from the Stafford Street area of the city on Friday.

He was last seen at around 1pm. The images show him nearby, shortly after that time.

David is described as being around 6ft tall, of a thin build, with a pale complexion, brown eyes and brown hair. He has a small scar on his cheek and is normally clean shaven.

The images show him wearing a waterproof jacket with a horizontal red stripe at the bottom. which merges to grey and then black, black jeans and black trainers. He was also carrying a black rucksack.

Search officers and a dog unit are continuing extensive searches in the areas of Grandholm and Danestone, Hillhead and Seaton Park, with assistance from a drone camera. Police Scotland’s dive and marine unit will also be searching on the River Don from Persley Bridge to the mouth of the river.

Inspector George Nixon said: "Along with David’s family and friends, our concerns for his welfare are growing as the days pass since he was last seen.

"I am asking anyone who was in the Grandholm, Seaton, High Street and Bridge of Don areas on Friday afternoon to look at the images to try and jog their memory. If you think you may have seen David, get in touch

"Additionally, I would ask anybody who lives in the nearby areas to check sheds, outbuildings or gardens for anything which may assist us in our inquiries."
