70% of Aberdonians do not feel safe on our streets, according to Original 106 poll

It's been revealed 70 percent of people living in Aberdeen do not feel safe on the streets.

It's according to a poll run by Original 106 to understand how people are feeling overall when out and about.

Around 500 people took part with 30 percent of respondents saying they do feel safe in the Granite City.

The poll was launched to to mark a year since Jill Barclay's tragic murder, in Dyce, on September 17 2022.

As we lead up to the festive period, we want to know what can be done to ensure members of the public are looking forward to their Christmas nights out, and the darker evenings, without any fear.
