Aberdeen Inspired to make city centre bright with sign scheme

Aberdeen Inspired have submitted detailed sign drawings to Aberdeen City Council for their suspended street signage scheme.

The concept aims to create a series of twelve visible, illuminated signs which will draw people's attention to the city's most renowned streets.

Work resumed in January after progress of the scheme stalled during the pandemic with a 2021 installation target in sight.

It was made possible by Aberdeen Inspired after securing an additional £400,000 grant from The Scottish Government Town Centre Fund in 2019.

The signs will work with current signage installed by the business improvement district in helping make the city a pedestrian friendly one in the near future.

Drawings were submitted for final approval.
