Aberdeen industrial premises 'deliberately set on fire'

Police are investigating after an industrial premises in the Stoneywood area was 'deliberately set on fire' on Tuesday (29 August).

The incident is believed to have occurred in the early hours of the morning at Waterton House on Stoneywood Road.

The fire caused significant damage to the building, estimated to be worth a five-figure sum.

Detective Constable Grant Hardie from Kittybrewster CID said: “This was a reckless and dangerous act which has badly damaged a business premises.

“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area in the early hours of Tuesday morning, who noticed anything suspicious, to please get in touch. In particular, I would urge any home owners with private CCTV or motorists with dash-cams to check their footage in case they have captured anything which could be of significance to our enquiries.
