Aberdeen FC apply for full stadium capacity for rest of season

Aberdeen Football Club have announced they've applied for a full capacity stadium for the rest of the season.

Chairman Dave Cormack confirmed with the lifting of restrictions announced by the Scottish Government for next week they've submitted an application for full capacity.

He said: "We have been working closely with Aberdeen City Council and have submitted an application for full capacity for our home games for the rest of the season.

"We are hopeful of a positive decision tomorrow afternoon which will allow us to put tickets on sale online at 6pm tomorrow for the return leg of the Europa Conference League game against Breidablik on August 12th."

On Sunday more than 6,000 fans were allowed in to Pittodrie for their 2-0 win over Dundee United with more than 5,000 in for the first leg of the 5-1 win over BK Hacken three days prior.

The club also stated full ticketing details will follow once they have a final decision from the local authority.
