Aberdeen's game against St Johnstone called off after positive coronavirus tests.

Aberdeen's game against St Johnstone tomorrow has been called off - after an outbreak of coronavirus at the club.

Two players have tested positive and a further six have been identified as close contacts - meaning eight players have to self-isolate.

Last night the Scottish Government said it was "disappointed" in the players' actions, amid rumours several of them were drinking in crowded city bars at the weekend.

It said they had put the return of professional football in Scotland "at risk" and that this was a "clear breach of the rules that were put in place by the SFA, the SPFL and the Scottish Government".

Initially the joint response group set up to help the sport resume post-lockdown said tomorrow's game would go ahead regardless.

But that decision has now been overturned.

Clubs have been operating in "bubbles" with routine testing to ensure that they can play close-contact sport without the risk of spreading the virus.

Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack posted a video on Twitter earlier:
