Police appeal after assault and robbery in Aberdeen

Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault and robbery in Aberdeen.

It happened in the Gordon’s Mill Road area of the city around 1am on Friday October 2.

A 36-year-old man was near the junction with Papermill Gardens when a dark coloured car approached. Three or four men from the car attacked him and stole a three-figure sum of cash.

He sustained a serious leg injury and was taken to hospital, and released after treatment.

Detective Constable Kayleigh McLean said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything, both before and after this attack.

"If you can help please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0188 of Friday October 2, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
