Families are claiming a Fraserburgh man scammed them out of thousands of pounds, and failed to refund them for Taylor Swift tickets that they never received.

Police are investigating claims that 38-year-old David Quigley defrauded Swifties out of money for tickets to the pop superstar’s Murrayfield shows, in addition to hotel rooms at the five-star Balmoral Hotel in the capital.

A member of one of the families says Quigley posed as an employee of Ticketmaster and promised VIP tickets, before refusing to return their money.

Police Scotland has confirmed it is investigating a claim of ticket fraud, while Ticketmaster says it has blocked Quigley’s account while they carry out an investigation of their own.

Mr. Quigley has denied the allegations and says that he “never scammed anyone”.
