Appeal after teenage girl approached by man in Aberdeen

Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a teenage girl was approached by a man in Aberdeen.

The girl was on Mid Stocket Road, near to Raeden Park Road, at around 11.20am on Saturday (May 16) when she was approached by a small black car.

The male occupant of the car tried to engage her in conversation before driving off, and no physical contact was made.

The vehicle was a three-door hatchback and possibly had rear tinted windows. It travelled along Argyll Place and on to Mid Stocket Road where the incident occurred. It then turned off before North Anderson Drive.

The driver is described as being black and around 20 to 30 years old.

Detective Sergeant Craig Currie said: "I would like to thank the community for their assistance in this investigation and renew our appeal for any witnesses who were in the area and may have saw this car and the occupant.

"I would also be keen to speak with any motorists who may have being driving in the area at the time of the incident and have dashcam footage that may assist with our investigation."
