The Aberdeen & North-East Scotland Family History Society's October Meeting will feature an illustrated talk by Elaine Petrie entitled "Digging up the Family Bodysnatcher."

What happens when someone tells you a family-history anecdote that seems far-fetched but is just too good to ignore? This is a tale of North-East bodysnatchers and the hunt for the missing picture of an Aberdeen surgeon of the 1860s. Involving mystery figures in the King Street Family Centre, it’s a story where ANESFHS turned out to be a key component. Do you hold the key to resolving it? Come along to find out!

This is a free talk, and everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be provided along with friendly family-history chat. If you are a beginner, or you don't know where to start, we are happy to advise you about starting your family-history research and about the many benefits to be gained from joining the Society.
