Widespread school closures in Aberdeenshire due to staff shortages

Thursday March 19th 2020 at 11:04 AM

There are widespread school closures in Aberdeenshire today due to staff shortages as a result of people self-isolating because of coronavirus.

Nicola Sturgeon confirmed yesterday that schools across Scotland would close on Friday indefinitely because the spread of Covid-19 means there aren’t enough staff to continue teaching as normal.

The first minister said it was unlikely kids would return after the planned Easter break and and even warned parents that they may not reopen before summer.
