Thursday May 18th 2017 at 5:06 PM

Thousands of pounds in cash was stolen from an Aberdeen pub earlier this month.

Thieves took money from an office in the Bieldside Inn in North Deeside Road on the afternoon of Sunday the 7th of May.

It’s thought to have happened between midday and 5 o’clock – with police eager to speak to anyone who was in the restaurant that day, if they saw anything suspicious.

Investigating officer PC Eamonn Ryan said: “A mid four figure sum of money was stolen from an office within the premises and we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area, and who saw anything unusual or suspicious, to contact us.

“In particular we would ask anyone who was within the restaurant between 12.00pm and 5.00pm on Sunday 7 May 2017 to get in touch if they may have seen something which could assist with our enquiries.”
