We’re a little closer to knowing who will pick up the coveted Sports Personality of the Year award when it takes place in Aberdeen next month.
A six-person shortlist has been announced for the 2019 edition, which is being held at the P&J live on Sunday, 15 December.
The nominees are England and Manchester City footballer Raheem Sterling, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, athletes Dina Asher-Smith and Katarina Johnson-Thompson, England cricketer Ben Stokes and Welsh rugby union captain Alun Wyn Jones.
The public will get the chance to vote for the winner during the sell-out ceremony, which is being televised to millions on BBC One.
Presenters Gary Lineker, Clare Balding and Gabby Logan will take to the stage to celebrate a huge year of sport in front of a live audience of 10,000 at the £333 mil venue, which opened earlier this year.
The public can vote by phone or online during the awards with more details to come on the night.
