Scottish Water to repair burst main after reports of raw sewage in Aberdeen street

Scottish Water teams have been rushed in Bridge of Don this evening after a sewer main burst.
Staff are to carry out emergency repairs to the pipe, and clean up Balgownie Road afterwards.
Earlier, drivers reported raw sewage in the street.
A spokesperson for Scottish Water said: “Following reported flooding affecting Balgownie Road this afternoon, we have identified a burst in a sewer main that serves the area.
“A sewer response team has been sent to the site in order to locate the damage and carry out repairs. We will also carry out a full clean-up of the affected area.
“We would like to apologise to customers and road users who may have experienced disruption and thank them for their patience while our team works to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”
