So far this year, in association with Original 106 Gareth Wood completed the "Gumball 3000" across America and raised £3000 on the coast to coast trek. Neil Weightman and thousands of others ran the Baker Hughes 10k run. Neil ran for Children 1st and thanks everyone for the sponsorship.
Old Meldrum sports Friday Night Live on 19th June was a night of great live and local music including Gerry Jablonski Blues Project, Eskimo Blonde and King Voodoo, and Neil Weightman was both compere and deejay on the wheels of steel!
The Children 1st Sunday Funday at Duthie Park in August was another huge success. On September 5th it was The Children 1st "Jailbreak"! Three teams "escaped" from HMP Craiginches at 9.00am on Saturday 5th October and had until midnight to go "on the run", to get as far away from Aberdeen as they could SPENDING NO MONEY! Awards were given for furthest distance travelled/strangest destination, best fancy dress, most money raised for CHILDREN 1ST, lowest carbon footprint and last but not least best team name.
