An Aberdeen MP is warning the debate over the proposed City Square project risks becoming a contest between two rival bids.
Frank Doran has invited representatives from Peacock Visual Arts and ACSEF to a public meeting next week to discuss the various implications of both plans.
Peacock already have planning permission for a contemporary arts centre - while ACSEF looking at a much bigger project which would cover all of Union Terrace Gardens - partly funded by Sir Ian Wood.
Mr Doran - who represents Aberdeen North - says he's also concerned a section of the city's residents will miss out on having their say as they fall between the boundaries of two community councils.
His meeting will take place at the Citadel in Aberdeen on Thursday 18th February from 6.30pm.
