Man charged after three killed in A90 crash

A man has been charged after a “harrowing” crash on the A90, which killed three people.

Two men and a woman died and four others were seriously injured in the colliision involving a bus and two cars at Glenbervie at around 4:30pm on Tuesday.

The three who died were all passengers of a red Renault Megane, which the man charged was driving.

The only person hurt on the bus, which had a number of passengers, was the driver – he had minor injuries.

Police were called to the A90 at Glenbervie, and closed the road for more than 20 hours to carry out investigations.

The 34-year-old man is expected to appear in Aberdeen Sherrif Court later this morning.
