Man, 29, appears in court charged with causing death of pensioner

A man has appeared in court accused of causing the death of a pensioner by driving dangerously on an Aberdeen road.
29-year-old Martin Henderson also faced a charge of drink-driving at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.
It is claimed he caused the collision which led to the death of a 70-year-old man on Inverurie Road on Saturday night.
An 18-year-old woman was also seriously injured.
Henderson also faces charges of failing to give police information on the identity of a driver, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, and failing to report an accident.
He is also accused of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
He made no plea and was released on bail.
