Lorry and tipper truck overturn at Aberdeen roundabout

Thursday March 14th 2019 at 11:53 AM

Emergency services are currently attending a crash between a lorry and a tipper truck in Aberdeen.

Police and fire crews, as well as a heavy lifter, are at the scene at the Cleanhill Roundabout, where the HGVs have overturned.

Part of the northbound lane is blocked, but we’re told traffic is flowing.

Police say to expect delays while the vehicles are recovered.

It’s not the first accident at the roundabout – lorries crashed there in December and January after failing to slow down.

Transport Scotland installed yellow bar markings – known as rumble strips – on approaches to the junction from Stonehaven, Charleston and Craibstone, saying a “small minority” were not paying notice to signs.
