Competition Rules

The following rules are together with, and in addition to, Original 106’s Competition Terms and Conditions.

Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.

Entry:

To enter the Competition, an Entrant must register to play when the presenter opens the lines before the game.  The lines will open between 30 minutes and 10 minutes prior to the game being played and will be announced clearly on air. One call will be invited to play at random and taken live to air.

The competition will run from the Monday 9th September, 2019, until Friday 4th October. The competition plays weekdays at 8.15 am, 12.15 pm and 5.15 pm.

The entrant will be asked to identify the 3 clips – both artist and title. If they get all three correct they will win the prize pot of money. The prize goes up by £10 per execution – starting at £106.

If the caller is the first person to identify a clip (any of the 3 – both artist and title) and they will a spot prize £106.

The spot prize does not apply to the caller who identifies the third and final clip as they will win the jackpot.

For an answer to be correct, the artist and title needs to be worded correctly. Judges decision will be final.

Entrants must be aged 18 or over to enter.

Entrants must be a resident in the Original 106 transmission area and have a AB, DD9 or DD10 postcode.

Entrants cannot enter if they are an employee or freelancer, or live with an employee or freelancer, of DC Thomson Media.

All participants will be aired on the radio and by taking part in this Competition the Entrant agrees to the call being recorded, played out on air and used for promotional purposes including on air promotions.

Prize:

If the the Entrant correctly guesses all three clips – both artist and title – they will win the jackpot which starts at £106 and goes up by £10 per execution.

If the caller is the first person to identify a clip (any of the 3 – both artist and title) and they will a spot prize £106.

The spot prize does not apply to the caller who identifies the third and final clip as they will win the jackpot.

Prizes are as stated, paid by bank transfer – alternatives or cash will be offered.
