Original 106 is proud to be officially supporting the work of local NE charity Friends of ANCHOR.
A huge thank you to you if you got involved in our recent DVD drive to boost the DVD library at the ANCHOR unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The patients now have a fantastic choice of movies to watch on the personal DVD players purchased by Friends of ANCHOR, to make the long hours they can spend getting treatment a little bit better.
Special thanks go to everyone at Hazlehead Academy, who set up a drop-off point, collecting over 150 dvds. Fantastic!
Thanks to generous donations, Friends of ANCHOR fund non-NHS provided equipment for Aberdeen Royal Infirmary's ANCHOR Unit.
They also provide additional care, comfort and support for patients attending the Unit and fund related research projects at the University of Aberdeen Medical Institute.
EVERY PENNY given to Friends of ANCHOR goes directly to the charity as all administrative costs are fully funded by sponsorship from the Balmoral Group.
