Drivers faced delays after A90 lorry fire
Thursday September 7th 2017 at 6:15 AM
A section of the A90 had to be closed this morning after a lorry caught alight.
It burst into flames just north of Balmedie, near the Cock and Bull restaurant, just after 5:30am.
Two fire engines from Central Fire Station attended, using two hose reel jets and one main jet to put out the flames, which were believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
The road was been closed by police at the Murcar roundabout while the lorry was recovered, with the route re-opening just after 9am.
No-one was injured.
