My surname has its roots in the Borders of Scotland but I was born in Fife. I had never lived north of Dundee until 1997 when I moved to the North East to work in broadcasting and I found life in that part of the world to my liking,so much so I stayed for six years. I liked the people, I liked the accents, I liked their understated humour and I loved the sea air of the North East coast where I stayed until 2003. I have tried to do other jobs but radio is truly my passion. I'd describe myself as a people person and multi-dimensional, which is really just a clever way of saying I have varied interests.
