The best selling album of 1974 is our classic album this week, it's 'Band on the Run' by Paul McCartney & Wings. Recorded in Lagos, Nigeria, it's seen as some of the best work Sir Paul has done post the Beatles.

Even though it was recorded and released in 1973, it was a number one hit all over the world and was 1974's best selling album. On the cover, you'll see Paul McCartney and wife Linda with a few well known faces, including Michael Parkinson. Kenny Lynch, James Coburn, Clement Freud, Christopher Lee and John Conteh also make up the iconic image.
