City Council leader hits out at job loss claims

There's a war of words over claims Aberdeen City council could cut more than one-thousand jobs this year.

Unions have accused the authority of running away from bad headlines.

They say council leaders should come clean and confirm how many more positions will go as part of efforts to save 27 million pounds.

But the leader of the Lib Dem/SNP administration Kate Dean is hitting back - accusing the unions of simply trying to get publicity.
