City council changes cashless parking provider

Friday April 21st 2017 at 6:37 AM

The cashless parking provider for Aberdeen City has changed as of today.

Motorists will now have to use the app RingGo, instead of PayByPhone.

As a result, the convenience charge for each transaction has dropped from 20p to 10p.

RingGo is used in around 125 council areas across the UK, including in Aberdeenshire.

Aberdeen City Council says its contract with PayByPhone had come to an end, and RingGo was awarded the contract after a “vigorous” tendering process.
