An appeal has been launched after a mass brawl in an Aberdeen night club left a man with serious facial injuries.
Police were called to the disturbance at Prohibition in Langstane Place at around half past 1 in the morning on Monday the 29th of October.
The 19-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
A video of the incident has subsequently emerged on social media.
PC Grant Hardie, of the Divisional Alcohol Violence Reduction Unit (DAVRU), who is leading enquiries, said: “It is believed a number of men were involved in a disturbance within the area between the bar and the dancefloor at Prohibition and a 19 year old man was seriously assaulted.
“The premises would have been busy at that time, with many people enjoying the build up to Halloween, and returning from Glasgow where Aberdeen FC played Rangers at Hampden.
“It is also understood that this incident may have been captured on mobile phone cameras. We would urge anyone who has any information or who witnessed the incident to contact police on 101 using reference number CF0265771018.
“This incident has resulted in the victim suffering a serious injury. There is no excuse for violent behaviour of any kind and incidents like this will be thoroughly investigated.”
