Appeal for witnesses after assault in Bridge of Don

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted outside of a supermarket in Aberdeen.
A 27-year-old man was taken to hospital after the assault outside the Bridge of Don Asda at around 10pm on Sunday.
He was treated for facial injuries.
Investigating officer, PC Tom Spencer of the Divisional Alcohol Violence Reduction Unit, said: “We believe this to be a targeted attack and officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and may have seen anything unusual or suspicious or has any information which may help us with our inquiries.
“In particular, we would like to trace a man who was seen in the carpark area around the time as he may have information which could assist our investigation. He is described as a white male, 5′ 11” in height, stocky build, wearing a grey tracksuit top and may be linked to a red coloured car.
“CCTV inquiries are on-going and we have identified a number of people being in the car park around this time. If you were in the area at this time or know of someone who may have been, we would urge you to come forward with any information and contact us on 101 using reference number CF0034070218.”
