Andrew Considine has signed a two-year contract extension to remain at Pittodrie.
The 32-year-old defender will stay with Aberdeen until at least the summer of 2021.
But there would also be a potential for a year-long extension to his deal.
The centre-back turned left-back has only ever played for the Dons after coming through the club’s academy set up, a near rarity in the modern professional game.
The Banchory-raised journeyman has made 476 appearances for Aberdeen, scoring 33 times – including that memorable hat-trick in the 7-0 win at Dundee two years ago.
He’s played 41 times this season, netting four goals.
Considine had been one of several first team stars eligible to leave at the end of this season before penning his new deal.
