Second Vanguard Conference in Aberdeen gets underway

An annual conference is being held in Aberdeen today to discuss plans to develop the business landscape in the North-east.
The Vanguard conference, which is organised by the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce, is on at the Lemon Tree and will feature a number of high-profile speakers, including Dons manager Derek McInnes, who will discuss challenges facing the region.
The first event was organised in 2017 after it was revealed that around 75% of young professionals felt detached from the future of the North-east.
A year on, groups who presented ideas will give an update on progress made on their projects across three main themes – tourism, the city centre and regional narrative.
